____ ____, who lives near Seattle, was convicted and sentenced to 18 years in prison in 2012 for possessing and distributing child pornography that police said they found on his computer. On Friday, a federal appeals court overturned his convictions because of the unlikely — and illegal — source of the investigation.
The U.S. Navy. To be specific, an agent of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in Georgia who had a high-powered software program and used it in 2010 to search computers throughout the state of Washington for evidence of child pornography. When the program picked up two child porn images and a video, the agent contacted the FBI, which tracked down ____ name and address. The naval office then got in touch with local police, who obtained a search warrant. The Department of Homeland Security later got a federal search warrant, and ____ was charged in federal court. Highly disturbing. Not only has the military exposed some of it’s technology, but it’s technology that can view everything on your computer in your home and apparently the military uses this program regularly even though they say it was one person; you know they are lying.
I never knew that if any Joe Schmo has something the local cops call a weapon of mass destruction (a stick-water nozzle or rock) the military can be called in to be used, along with the military grade weapons the local cops have against we thew people.
Why has congress made it OK for the military to be used against we the people? Are they afraid of something? Are they expecting something? Are the preemptive measures really necessary? Has someone been slipping things into the law books while everyone is distracted with the much hated and threatening groups of people like the registrant, the Chinese, the Russians and terrorists organizations? These fools create so many of their own enemies.
